See how we reach out to our community, and how we are currently planning to extend that reach even farther.
Hands of Hope food bank has grown immeasurably since the small beginnings, and is continuing to grow through the support of our wonderful volunteers and the blessing of God!
In 2014, Hands of Hope distributed 1,383,608 pounds of food for a value of $2,085,047 free of charge. This food has been able to get into the hands of thousands of families from the Bryan, Marshal, Johnston, Atoka and Coal counties. These amazing efforts would not be possible without the generosity of our volunteer-based staff.
Thanks to the giving from the local community as well as the partnership with Oklahoma City Regional Food bank, the facilities expansion was completed in 2014. Hands of Hope now serves as a resource center for other food banks. The expansion has added 7,393 square feet to the building as well as created 70 parking spaces for our customers. This expansion has allowed us to expand the area we reach and allowed us to participate in the fight against hunger in a deeper way
God has commissioned us, so He will equip us! To see more about our building, check back often for updates on the construction progress and consider donating to our building project. You can do so here.
