From The Beginning
Hands of Hope began in 1988, from a vision in Pastor Duane Sheriff to serve & support the local families in need. Today, we serve well over a million pounds of food a year, to many surrounding counties.
Assistance is income-based, and we are supplied through Oklahoma Regional Food Bank in Oklahoma City and through private donations. The food bank is fully funded by the tithes and offerings from the members of Victory Life Church, and is predominantly operated by a volunteer staff ranging in age from thirteen to ninety.
We are open to the public Monday 3:30pm to 6pm, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8am to 12pm noon.
Wednesday we are closed to the public it is the day we restock and break down food. We need volunteers on Wednesday 8am to 12pm noon.
We have 4 staff members and a large volunteer base on an average day it requires approx. 25 volunteers. We accept volunteers from the community and other churches, youth groups, college students and community businesses retired and disabled, widows and widowers are welcome.
